Covington Independent Public Schools Superintendent Cortnei Flucas invites you to shape the future of our district at a community forum on the new K-12 Schools of Innovation.

The forum takes place at 6 p.m. on September 23 at John G. Carlisle Elementary School, 910 Holman Ave., Covington, KY 41011.

Superintendent Flucas will present an update on the Schools of Innovation initiative and hold an open Q&A session. The district wants direct input from parents, families, students and community members regarding:

- What these innovative learning environments should look like

- What unique programming and courses should be offered

- How to best serve students across all K-12 grade levels

This initiative marks a collaborative step forward for Covington Independent Public Schools.

"We believe in two-way communication in Covington," Flucas said. "We don't want to just speak to them. We want to hear from them and then have them see their hopes and dreams in our plans."

Mark your calendar; come ready with your questions and suggestions. Dinner will be served. Make your reservation by contacting Debra Vance, debra.vance@covington.kyschools.us. The deadline for reservations is September 15.
